How a move works
Nothing changes for your visitors until the last step. If anything looks wrong before then, we fix it first.
- You send the requestTell us your website address and who hosts it now. Pick a plan, or ask us which one fits.
- We get accessWe’ll contact you to get access to your current hosting, the safe way. Never put passwords in a form or an email.
- We copy your siteWebsite files, databases and, where possible, email accounts are copied to our servers in Canada. Your current site isn’t touched.
- We check everythingWe check pages, forms, images and logins on our servers before anything changes.
- We switch your domainAt a time that suits you. We point your domain to our servers, and the new SSL certificate is issued automatically.
- You cancel the old hostOnce you’ve confirmed everything works, you can cancel your old hosting. Not before.

Access to your current hosting
Your control panel login, such as cPanel or Plesk. For WordPress, an admin account can also work.
Access to your domain
Where your domain is registered, or whoever manages its DNS, so we can switch it at the end.
Your list of email accounts
If your email is hosted with your website, so we know which mailboxes to move.
Where we can move from
- cPanel or Plesk hosting
- Most shared hosts in Canada and the US. Sites, databases and mailboxes can usually be moved.
- Other WordPress hosts
- We copy your WordPress site and database. Email is often hosted elsewhere and stays where it is.
- A server you manage
- Tell us how it’s set up, and we’ll tell you what we can move.
- Wix, Squarespace, Shopify
- These sites can’t be copied to another host. Contact us and we’ll explain your options.
About your email
If your mailboxes are on your current hosting, we can usually copy them, messages included.
If you use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, your email stays there. We copy your domain’s email settings so nothing stops working when we switch.
Either way, we’ll tell you what will happen to your email before we switch anything.

Is migration really free?
Yes. Migration is included with every plan. There is no extra cost to move your website to us.
Will my website go down?
Little or no downtime. Your current site stays online while we copy and check it. When we switch your domain, the change can take a few hours to reach every visitor, and both copies work during that time.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of your site and how quickly we get access. We’ll give you a date before we start, and we switch your domain at a time that suits you.
Do I have to transfer my domain to you?
No. Your domain can stay where it is registered. We only need to change where it points. You can transfer it to us later if you want everything in one account.
What if something goes wrong?
Your old hosting isn’t touched during the move. If something isn’t right after the switch, we fix it, or point your domain back to the old host while we do.
